At MCC, we pride ourselves on maintaining an appropriate balance between Country Club casual and formal attire. Members are expected to dress appropriately for the Club's ambiance and surroundings and to inform their guests of our dress code requirements.
Clubhouse, Mountain View Lounge, and 1915 Grille
Appropriate Dress for Gentlemen
- Club-approved Golf and Tennis attire is permitted.
- Bermuda-style shorts are preferred. Short shorts and cargo shorts are not permitted.
- T-shirts and gym clothes are not permitted.
- Neat-condition jeans are permitted.
- No worn/stringy hems or ripped or torn parts are allowed.
- Collared shirts or banded collar dress shirts are required for gentlemen.
- All shirts must be tucked into slacks/shorts except fitted dress shirts designed to be worn untucked.
- Caps, hats, and visors are to be removed when inside the Clubhouse, except inside the Men's Grille and Locker Room.
- Men may wear leather or cloth open-toe sandals. However, rubber flip-flops designed for the "beach or pool" are not permitted in the Clubhouse.
Appropriate Dress for Ladies
- Club-approved Golf and Tennis attire is permitted.
- Bermuda-style shorts are permitted. Short shorts and cargo shorts are not permitted.
- T-shirts and gym clothes are not permitted.
- Mid-sections must be covered.
- Neat-condition jeans are permitted.
- No worn/stringy hems or ripped or torn parts on pants, shorts, or skirts are allowed.
- Appropriate tops/blouses are required for ladies.
- Women are permitted to wear caps, hats, and visors inside the Clubhouse. Hats must be worn with the bill facing forward.
- Ladies may wear leather or cloth open-toe sandals. However, rubber flip-flops designed for the "beach or pool" are not permitted in the Clubhouse.
Appropriate Dress for Adolescents and Children
- Children under 12 may dress casually but tastefully when dining or attending formal Club functions.
- Children aged 12 and older must adhere to the adult dress codes.
- Excessively tight, short, or baggy clothing is not considered appropriate attire for any age group in all areas of the Club.
Ballroom Brunch
Attire for Ballroom club functions, including Sunday Brunch, holiday functions, and special events as noted on invitations or flyers, is as follows:
Appropriate Dress for Gentlemen
- Dress slacks and collared shirts (tucked in) are required, with coats or jackets for more formal events as specified.
- Denim, shorts, and men's hats are prohibited.
Appropriate Dress for Ladies
- Women are requested to dress comparably to men, which may include dresses, skirts, slacks, or pantsuits.
- Denim and shorts are not permitted.
Golf Activities
General Golf Dress Code
- Hats, caps, and visors must be worn with the bill facing forward at all times.
- Shoes are mandatory; soft-spike or spikeless only.
- Not all Specialty items purchased from the Golf Shop for casual or after-hours wear may be worn on the Golf Course. These items must be approved by the Director of Golf.
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times when on Property at Marietta Country Club.
Appropriate Dress for Gentlemen & Boys
- Collared golf shirts are required and must be tucked in at all times. Mock turtlenecks are also acceptable if specifically designed for Golf purposes.
- Tee shirts are not permitted. This applies to athletic material or fitness-appropriate gear.
- Long trousers other than denim are acceptable and must be neat in appearance. Rain pants may be worn as an outer garment on inclement weather days.
- Golf Shorts or Bermuda-style shorts are permissible on the Golf Course provided they are no shorter than 4 inches above the knee and measured from the top of the knee while standing.
- Cargo pants or shorts are not permitted.
- Denim is not allowed.
Appropriate Dress for Ladies & Girls
- Attire shall consist of skirts, shorts, dresses, or pants with shirts or sweaters.
- Dresses, skirts, and golf shorts must be conservative in length and no shorter than mid-thigh.
- Halters, tank tops, bare midriff garments, short skirts, and leggings or yoga pants (as an outer garment) are not permissible.
- Sleeveless tops must have a collar, crew neck, or high neck and be specifically designed with Golf intentions.
- Denim is not allowed.
Rose Pavilion
The Rose Pavilion is a designated member dining area. Members and their guests must wear a shirt/cover-up, shoes, flip-flops, or sandals when dining in this area.
Pool
- All swimwear must have proper coverage and reflect dress code standards.
- Medium to full coverage for all bottoms required.
- Prohibited swimwear includes thong-style bottoms and translucent fabrics.
